Let's start with introductions... PART 1

Hello there, errrr, followers (if there are any). My name is Ivan and a first time blogger. This is going to be my first blog EVER (obviously). My reason for starting to blog is to keep track of what I had done, have been doing, and will be doing in the future. You can say it's my way of reminiscing the past, sharing the present, and planning for the future. And of course, for my blog to work, I'll need people to help me out in making my blog a bit more detailed, as well as, to help readers avoid confusion. For now, I'll be mentioning the more important people in my life. To start off:

"DONEL"
I met Donel years ago at a badminton court at Greenhills, San Juan. A common friend introduced us to each other. But our friendship only started when I was asked to join their circle of friends because I was being... how do I say this... maltreated at my previous group. At first, I was only invited because of badminton. I even remember having an argument with over the score during one of our games. I hated him for that. But as it turned out, he really was just plain outspoken. He's the type to just spout whatever he feels or thinks. I'm glad he's like that. At least I get to have a really honest opinion of my acts from him. Currently, we still play together every chance we get.

"PHILIP"
Philip is one of my older friends. Paired up with Donel, and you'll see showcase of funny tirades from each other. Philip is probably the one I'm closest to (literally and metaphorically). Like Donel, I met him at badminton. His personality is what I would call indistinguishable, but I say that in a good way. With him, it's never a dull moment simply because HE TALKS SO MUCH, SO FAST AND SO LOUD!!! It's scary, really, how his voice never gets hoarse from so much talking. Unlike Donel though, he's the one I prefer to be with when I need someone to just say "YES" to everything I do. Whatever it is I plan on doing, he supports me 110%.

"RJ"
RJ (or Junjun as most call him) is the quiet one among us. He rarely talks when all of us are gathered around. He just laughs when it is funny, frowns when something bad happened, and just does nothing when nothing is going on around. He's the one Donel likes to scold the most during a badminton game. "Stop crouching!", "Don't flick your wrist!", "Try putting the shuttle down more often!" are what Donel tells him most of the time. If there is one person among them that I'm most comfortable confiding with, it's RJ. He's so easy to talk to when I'm down, but he can be dangerous too at the same time. Keeping a secret isn't his forte. When you tell him something personal and didn't instruct him not to tell anyone, then your secret will be for everyone to feast on. But if you really need a good friend, he'll be there anytime, anywhere.

"NAP"
Nap is probably the first one I met among the four. Nap and I, we go way back. I was just 19 when I met him then. Back then, there was a dual meet between his group and my group. We were pitted against each other and it was one hell of a fight. Before, it's either I was too strong for the opponent or was too weak. But to him, it's like an even match-up. We used to have similar playing style: aggressive! Every chance we get, we hit the shuttle as hard as we can. We even looked the same then, that's why they mistook us for brothers (me being the younger one, of course). Anyway, I'd have to say Nap is the most congenial one among us. He treats everyone he meets with a smile and makes them feel as comfortable as he can. To him, if you want respect, then show respect first. That's probably the best thing about him.

So, that ends the first part of introductions. These four people are the ones I consider my best friends. Not just in badminton, but in everything. Anyway, just stay put and the second part is coming.
